The Propel system is an innovative orthodontic system that can accelerate your orthodontic alignment. This state-of-the-art treatment increases the predictability of tooth movement, thereby decreasing the overall treatment time necessary to achieve the desired results.
The Propel system can be used with both removable and fixed orthodontic appliances including metal braces, clear braces, and clear aligners like Invisalign. The Propel device will be used to make tiny dimples through the gum, into the bone. These micro-osteoperforations encourage a natural immune response by your body. This increases the rate of bone remodeling which prompts your teeth to begin moving into alignment faster. The Propel system may speed up the movement of your teeth by 50% or more, resulting in a significantly shorter treatment time.
There is no recovery period necessary after having the Propel system performed. These perforations are performed using local anesthesia. No surgery or stitches required. After the procedure, you simply need to keep the area clean and free of bacteria to promote healing. Your doctor will also advise you to avoid any spicy foods
Created to accelerate your orthodontic treatment, so that you can reveal your straight, even smile as soon as possible, the Propel system is approved for teens and adults. The procedure just takes a few minutes and can be completed during a routine orthodontic checkup. You may need to have Propel performed several times during your orthodontic treatment to expedite the completion of your orthodontic treatment.
