We love the Township of Maplewood – and we think it is so important to support community events that bring everyone together. It’s what memories are built on. So, after its two-year hiatus, it only made sense that we would partake in MayFest – The Springfield Avenue Street Fair – that happens annually.
So Much to Do At MayFest Street Fair
On May 15, 2022, from Indiana Street to Rutgers Street and everywhere in between on Springfield Avenue, there were so many activities for everyone in the family. And this included a lot of activities for the kiddos, such as a petting zoo, train rides, a bounce house, and games. Retail vendors selling crafts, foods, and other gems from all over the area lined the street. Let’s just say all the local businesses and non-profit organizations really made a turn out this year at MayFest.
Would we ever just stop the fun there for this street fair? No way – we needed some music and performances, too. On stages set up for the event, we saw fun performances by Inspirational Dance, Blue Life Karate, LaChaney’s Dance and Music Academy, and Premier Martial Arts. Plus, there was nonstop music from local bands – Mike Choi, In-Tune School of Music, Ben Williams, Big Mamou, Los Traficantes, and Zoo’s.
If you were there, then you know just how much there was to do and how much fun there was to be had. And, if you missed it – then you will want to make sure you make it next year.
Supporting Our Community
The young patients of Marigold Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics are residents in the Township of Maplewood. This is the place they call home. Therefore, as a sponsor of MayFest, we were able to work with other local sponsors to help give them a special day to enjoy with their family.
The petting zoo was also something that we decided to sponsor as it is always one of the most-loved activities for kids. There is something about getting up close and personal with animals that brings such a high level of joy. Our very own Dr. Ciciolla was able to spend some time with the animals and the visitors at the petting zoo exhibit.
Many members of our staff were able to make it out to experience the festivities along with Dr. Ciciolla, including Nicole, Florisell, Vanessa, and Nayeli.
